Hey everyone! I found the mini China Glaze Spring Fling pack at Sally's the other weekend and decided to buy it. I struggled with this purchase because there was a ton of awesome gels on clearance and I didn't know what to choose. After a lot of turmoil, I dropped the gels and bought the pack. Ahhhh, the struggles of shopping on a budget.

China Glaze Life Is Suite!
A matte nude.
Oh man. This was rough. The formula and application was pretty awful. It was streaky and dried super fast. It was chalky and uneven. This is definitely one you really have to work with.

China Glaze Too Much Of A Good Fling
Mint crème.
I really liked this one. I love the shade of mint. The formula and application were great. My swatch is shown in two coats plus top coat.

A peachy-corally crème.
This one has a great formula and application. My swatch is shown in two coats plus top coat. This is another one I really liked.

I liked it so much, I did some art with it and wore this for a few days.
China Glaze Kiss My Sherbet Lips
Fuchsia shimmer.
The shimmer pretty much disappears on the nail, but it's still a lovely fuchsia. My swatch is shown in two coats plus top coat.

China Glaze Crushin' On Blue
Cobalt frost.
I didn't like the formula on this one. It was really streaky and patchy. I did two coats and threw in the towel on this one. I just really didn't like the formula. You can see the patchy spots in my middle finger.

China Glaze Beach It Up
I'm not sure how to describe this. It's a goldish, kinda textured, ummmmm holo bar glitter, metallic polish?
The formula and application are really good. My swatch is shown in two coats. However, I'm not liking the actual finish of this. I stared at this one for awhile, trying to figure out what I didn't like. It's the random holo bar glitters. I think it would be okay without them. I dunno. You be the judge.

Even though I liked a couple, I'm not impressed. My favorite is Too Much of a Good Fling, but I have several like this already. I seriously wish I had bought the gels over this mini set.
I'm looking forward to the China Glaze Summer Collection. I also heard there will be a Chine Glaze My Little Pony Collection coming out this summer. Let's hope those collections are good!

Its a shame about the formulas on these. CG definitely has not mastered mattes!
ReplyDeleteDang. It totally is a shame about the formula on these. they're lovely in the bottle, if only they'd translate to the nail :(
ReplyDeleteI love the pastels, but the formulas sound like such a bummer.
ReplyDeletePretty colours but sad to read the formula was crap!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am disappointed with China Glaze this spring - last year was great for them!
ReplyDeleteLoved the colours but it's sad formula is not good enough 😶
ReplyDeleteAww It is sad you had polish regrets, that is the worst! These are all beautiful on you though!
