Hey everyone! I have swatches of some of the Essie Shimmer Brights for Summer 2016 including the celebratory 1000th Essie polish Aim to Misbehave.
Essie Aim To Misbehave
Essie decided to celebrate their 1000th shade with a shimmer yellow. Of all the awesome things they could've done, they chose this. It's like, do they just not try anymore? They totally ducked up the rerelease of Starry Starry Night and then celebrated with this shimmery, metallic-y yellow. I just don't know what to think about Essie anymore.
Here it is. The 1000th shade. This yellow at least has an okay formula and only required two coats. It did dry down slightly brush stroke though.

Essie Sexy Plunge
Don't let the name fool you, this isn't sexy. It is okay and that's about it.
My swatch is two coats and it dried slightly brush strokey.

This pink is better than the yellow and orange. However, I'm still not really loving it.
The formula was great on this one and it fully covered in one coat but it does look better with a second coat. Maybe I'm being too hard on this one. It is a pretty pink, but for some reason, it didn't make me happy like a lot of pinks do.

This one is so incredibly pretty in the bottle that I thought for sure this one was a winner. It's a pretty purple with a pink shimmer.
Again, I don't know what happened, I'm just not loving it. I think I don't love it because I have some really awesome purples with pink shimmers that look better.
The first coat was a bit concerning but I was able to do two coats. This one seemed to be the worst with the brush stroke-ness and you can really see it on my middle finger in the picture.

In my opinion, this collection is a dud and I won't be buying the other shimmer brights. I'm especially disappointed Essie decided to celebrate such an amazing milestone with that yellow polish.
These did make an awesome sunset gradient nail art, though!
What do you think about the Essie Shimmer Brights? Am I just being too hard on this collection?
