Misa Cosmetics, Back to Basics Fall 2015

Press sample.  It's December but I'm not finished with fall polishes!  Today, I have Misa Cosmetics Back to Basics Fall 2015 collection.  This collection consists of six basic crème shades great for fall/winter or anytime.

Let's Begin: this looks black, but it is a very blackened purple/burgundy shade.  Two coats.

Sophisticated Lady: vampy burgundy.  Two coats.

Street of Dreams: this one is the unique one out of the collection.  This dove grey has an awesome pink shimmer.  You can't see it in my picture but it's there and it's lovely.  Two coats.

This collection is described as "basic" but the formulas are far from basic.  I'm trying to figure out how to describe the consistency.  It's thick, but easy to work with and spread.  Sometimes the red shades have a tendency to be thin, making it easy to flood cuticles and causing staining.  Since Red Lips and Sophisticated Lady had the easy workable thick formula, it stayed and spread where I wanted it.  Here to Stay also has the same amazing formula.  I slapped on two coats, the first coat covered really well and the second coat made it completely opaque.  These did dry a little slow, but that doesn't bother me because I use a quick dry top coat.

These polishes are five free, cruelty free and vegan.  The price point is awesome too.  Each shade is $7.50.

I still haven't found my holy grail white yet.  I'm wondering if Misa's white has the same awesome formula.  I think I'll get it and try it out.  Have you tried Misa?

  3. This isn't a brand we get here, but this is an awesome "basic" collection. Great for people just starting out into their polish addiction.
