M Polish Metallic Collection

M Polish released a new line of stamping polish called The Metallic Collection on May 25, 2015.  I was provided the complete line to test and review.  First, I'll have the swatches and then you will find more information about this line and other news on M Polish after.

Iron: silver.

Gilded: gold.

Copper: orange

Baroque: pink.

Bronze: you know...bronze.

Elizabethan: brown.

Aren't these metallic stamping polishes gorgeous?  As always, I tested these across different stamping plates (Pueen, MoYou, Gogoonly, UberChic, and Pet'la) and stamper heads (Winstonia, Creative Image, and Fab Ur Nails).  I had great pick up and transfer across all combinations.  They show up well over both light and dark colors.

This collection was released May 25, 2015 and are currently available.  They are available in mini size (5mL) for $3.25 each or full size (15mL) for $9.50 each.  The complete mini collection is $18 and the complete full size collection is $54.

Other information you may be interested in: M Polish is phasing out the full size 11mL bottles and moving to 15mL bottles.  The shades in this collection are all 15mL.  On May 25, she restocked all of the past collections.

There are also new shipping policies implemented on May 25:
Free shipping on domestic orders over $50.
Free shipping on Canadian orders over $60.
Free shipping on all other international orders over $75.

Thanks for reading!

Zoya Paradise Sun, Summer 2015

Today, I have the second part of the Zoya Summer 2015 collection, Paradise Sun.  I was provided these shades to review by Zoya.  I'll start with swatches and then get into details.  Each of my swatches are shown glossy and with the Zoya Matte Velvet top coat, because I love the way shimmers look matte.

Genesis: white.  (This took three coats)

Aphrodite: a vibrant summer red.

Mae: magenta.

Isa: blurple.  I had to edit my picture to get close to the true color.

Selene: teal.

Oceane: turquoise.

The finish of these shades are described as a "micronized  metallic pearl finish."  I call them shimmers.  The formulas on all of them are nice and apply with two coats, except Genesis.  The colors are beautiful and vibrant.  Again, I'm having a hard time picking one or two favorites.  I really love them matte.  What do you think?  Love them?  Leave them?  How about with a matte finish?

This collection can be purchased through or at any ULTA stores.

Zoya Island Fun, Summer 2015

Today, I have the new Zoya Island Fun collection provided by Zoya to review.  Let's get down to it and then I'll have my thoughts after the swatches.

Serenity: this purple was hard to photograph.   I did tweak my picture to get it color accurate.  This is really close to real life.
Nana: a raspberry pink.
Demetria: a vibrant poppy red.
Cecilia: teal.
Talia: turquoise. I tweaked this one for color correctness.
Jace: tropical green.

Overview and thoughts: The formula on all these were good.  They were heavily pigmented, making the formula a tad thicker.  But, I don't mind that.  I'm heavy handed when applying polish, so I could've gotten away with one coat with most of these shades.
I use a thick base coat and remove with non acetone when working with greens and blues, so I'm not sure how much of staining the above green and blues will stain.  I will say, when I removed Talia, I did have slight staining on my right hand (the hand I use removing polish from my swatch hand) where the removed polish hit my fingers.  So, be careful with Talia.
I love these creams.  They're beautiful and vibrant.  Even the green was pretty and I was for sure I wouldn't like it.  I can't really pick my favorites, because I really do love all of them.
I only swatched these, so I can't attest to the durability and wear time of these polishes.
You can buy these directly from or at Ulta.
What do you think about this collection?  Love them?  Won't buy them?  Do you have any top picks?

DD Nail Lacquer Valholo Collection (Part 1)

DD Nail Lacquer provided me with her upcoming Valholo Collection (Part 1) to swatch and review.  This collection consists of four linear holos; an olive green, light lavender, gold, and cobalt blue.  DD Nail Lacquer explains, "Valholo is just a make believe place where us polish addicts will spend our fabulous afterlives."

Release information and overview can be found after the swatches.  All swatches will be shown first in full daylight and then in lightbox.

Holoscene: a gold linear holo.

Valholo Blue my Mind: a cobalt blue linear holo.

Olive Forever: an olive green linear holo.

Lilacesphere: a light lavender linear holo.

Overview and purchasing information: each swatch is shown with two coats.  I found the formula great and the holo is very pretty in each shade.  Each package from DD Nail Lacquer includes a cuticle stick, nail file, and ingredient list.  The brush is easy to work with and I'm digging her logo.  Overall, I found DD Nail Lacquer to be of good quality with interesting shades.  My top two picks are Lilacesphere and Valholo Blue my Mind.

This collection will be releasing June 1st, 2015 and can be found at

There will be a second collection that I'm really looking forward to.  I will be crossing my polished fingers I receive them to review!

Vixen Lacquers Summer Festival Collection

Today, I have swatches and review of the Vixen Lacquers Summer Festival 2015 Collection, which was provided to me for review.  This whimsical collection consists of one crelly, two jelly glitters, and two glitter toppers.

Rave Bra: this glitter topper consists of light pink holo square glitters, magenta circle holo glitters, and packed with a holo shimmer.  My swatch is shown over a gray base (OPI, Cement the Deal).

Under the Electric Sky 2.0: a black jelly loaded with small silver holo circle glitters and square silver holo glitters.  This is shown with no undies.  Two coats plus top coat.

From Dusk til Dawn: a glitter topper with micro gold and light blue glitters.  My swatch is shown with two coats over a navy base (Zoya, Sailor).

PLUR: a white crelly loaded with soft pastel green, blue, pink, and white glitters.

Neon Lights: a teal jelly packed with yellow neon glitters, that look lime green when dried down.

Overview: This is a fun collection with unique glitters and jellies.  I don't have anything else like these in my collection.  The formulas were okay.  I found that PLUR and Rave Bra worked best when stored upside down before using them.  My picks of this collection are From Dusk til Dawn and Neon Lights (I adore this matte).

You can buy this collection at (at the time of this post, the link provided by Vixen Lacquers was not working) Friday, May 15 2015.

What do you think about this collection?
